Typography project subject?

Asked by fortris (683points) March 30th, 2009

I’m in graphic design, and I need a subject for my typography project. Something simple preferred. Please give a link to the image.

When you ask for a link to an image, does that mean that it should serve as an illustration for your copy? What will you do for text? Typography does not in itself require an image. Please give a little more detail about what you are looking for.

I will take an image and copy it with text.

Example, if a picture of a tiger is provided. I will make a tiger out of text.

When I took typography, we had to create our face out of a typeface. It came out pretty neat. You could try that.

I see. In that case, go to Google and do an image search for subjects that are of interest to you. No one else can look at an image and see the typographic possibilities that it will bring to your mind.

I agree with Jeruba that this seems like a hard way to do this project. But I agree that you should do the Fluther icon.

I just had a project at school where we had to make a movie poster in just Helvetica. No stretching of fonts, no other elements like blocks or other shapes and we were only allowed to use black, white, grays and one color of choice. Some of the results turned out pretty neat.
