Who apart from the GIA issue diamond certificates?

Other than the GIA, there are other laboratories like the AGS, EGL, and the IGI. All the three are recognised worldwide and hence reliable.

I have read a few different articles that GIA and AGS are the most stringent and consistent labs. A diamond from one of these labs would carry a little more weight than some of the others. That being said, I recently purchased an EGL diamond and am very happy with it.

AGS is probably the next biggest name next to GIA, but GIA is the industry gold standard. For me, carrying GIA’s diamond buying guide was invaluable as I went shopping…which took FOREVER. But, at the end of the day, I’m happy and I think GIA report is a must have when getting a diamond.
