What are the common problems with unneutered male dogs?

We just adopted a 3yo Schnauzer and he still has his cojones.

He will have the urge to escape the yard when female dogs in the neighborhood are in heat.

Then you’re neighbours will be dumping puppies on you.

More difficult to train

Do neuter them: for yourself, for them, and for all of your neighbors.

Were his previous owners using him to breed? He’s not too old to get neutered, I’d do it as soon as you can.

Seriously though, I would add just a general preoccupation with their penis, as in excessive er… grooming. That and, anytime they get excited/aroused their lipstick pops out. Ewl.

Indiscriminate breeding.
Fighting.
Odoriferous, oily urine.
Territorial urine marking.
Woodies and peepee schlurping.
Cross species humping (“Look out, Gramma!”)
Schmegma.
Enlarged prostate, abscessed prostate, prostate cancer.
Ugly, dangling old dog testicles.
