What are some good outlining programs for the Mac?

Preferably free. But if it’s worth the money, then sure.

Omnioutliner

Expensive but well worth it.

@squirbel Um… doesn’t that cost about 99 bucks?

errrr…. * cough *... yeah.

There’s one that is free that was super lightweight that I used to use, but I just went back to using the Stickies app that comes with the system. I can’t remember the name for the life of me.

I don’t do a lot of outlining, but when I’ve had to, I’ve really liked OmniOutliner too. Unfortunately, I haven’t come across any really good ones that are free, but OmniOutliner is definitely worth the expense.

OmniOutliner, like al the other Omnigroup apps, is excellent. Very Mac-like, intuitive, powerful. If you are a student or teacher, you can get the educational price of $25.

OmniOutliner, OmniGraffle, Pages (iWork ‘09),
GTD managers: iGTD, OmniFocus, Things

Seconding OmniOutliner; I’ve used it the last two semesters, and I couldn’t be happier with the way it lets me organize my information. I mean, unless there were a way I could read OO3 files on my phone.
