Looking for a Digital Video Recorder to replace my VCR. Any suggestions as to models?

Under $1000. Do they make any that play DVDs and Blue Ray?

You can get a dual-tuner standard-definition TiVo for $199, and you can get an HD TiVo that works with CableCard for $299. There’s an upgraded model of HD TiVo that sells for more but has considerably more recording time.

Your best bet is probably to get a DVR and a Blue Ray player separately.

How about a computer with windows media centre (part of Vista)?
