I haven't worked out very hard in 8 weeks and I need to get in shape, whats a good workout plan while juggling a lot of school work?

I have a lot of harder classes this year and I don’t plan on slacking off but I want to stay in great shape. What would be the best thing plan if I only have one day of the week to work out?

If you can find a way, walking 30 minutes a day will go a long way toward keeping you in good shape.

For staying in shape, I would suggest some light weight-lifting, with low weights and many reps, just to keep your muscles flexing and tight. For getting in shape, cardio is vital.

If I were you, I would try to allocate all the time in that one day between four or five days a week. I did a 20–30 minute workout Monday through Thursday for only three weeks and I actually made a sign of progress.

I ran a mile each day (about 7 to 9 minutes), did weight-lifting on Mondays and Wednesdays, and abdominal exercises on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I really don’t think one day of vigorous exercise will be as good. Just manage your time wisely and make a schedule for your workouts.

How big is your campus? I park in the residential lot furthest from the academic podium, so that I am forced to walk about a mile a day at minimum, not counting walking between classes, just to get to and from the car. Also the weight room at school has a Nautilus. Don’t ask how often I use it, I might have to lie.

I’m a high school senior, I’m trying to work around having classes during the day time @pdworkin. and I was thinking of working out every Saturday Morning @osmoticgouger

Pushups/pullups/situps do a great job of maintainence.

Aside from walking fast enough to sweat, push ups, lunges and squats.
