Will a Memory Stick PRO DUO card work with that slot on the left side of a 13" MacBook Pro?

I want to know this because I can’t see the card show up in finder or on the desktop, and no apps run, whenever I push it into that slot. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

No. It’s a SD card slot and will only take SD cards.
