How can I achieve this effect on my dock?

I am trying to achieve this effect on my dock in mac osx. The picture is in this link here. http://www.usingmac.com/2009/9/29/daily-trick-42/comments#comment-form
I would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to get this. It’s driving me crazy!

From the screenshot it is a Snow Leopard thing. I can easily do it. Are you using 10.6?

It could work in 10.* but I am to lazy to check.

@johnpowell no I’m on 10.5.8 Does that mean I can’t do it?

It’s trivially easy to do in any version of Linux on a system that isn’t 40 years old.

Do you just want it to look like that? If so it is only in 10.6.

If you wanted to have those commands when you right click they should be there. I just checked on 10.4.11

@johnpowell I wanted it to look like that. So it’s an option in snow leopard?

Yes. I believe this is automatically enabled in Snow Leopard. You’ll have to upgrade.
