Is Obama really avoiding Fox News and catering to the networks, ABC, NBC and CBS as recently reported?

Asked by captainshalfunit (119points) November 8th, 2009

It has recently been reported on all news networks about the number of appearances that Obama has appeared on each network. I should have gotten the exact numbers before posting, so I apologize for that. There were a disproportionate number of appearances on ABC, NBC and CBS as opposed to appearances on Fox News. I think there were approximately 2–3 appearances on Fox and on NBC there were approximately 22. Again, I should have obtained all the numbers before posting. Fox News has reported that they repeatedly requested that Obama appear on different shows on their Network and there is no response from those who do his scheduling.

And now I have all the more respect for Obama because he refuses to associate with Fox News.

Fox news is so blatantly unbalanced I don’t blame him.

fox news is only good for celeb gossip- anybody serious stays away from there

Is Obama avoiding Fox, or does Fox avoid Obama? Remember, Obama can’t tell Fox who to choose to show.

And I have to link to this clip again.

Apart from the obvious fact that Fox News isn’t a news network, I don’t even understand why they try to compare themselves to NBC, ABC and CBS. They aren’t cable news networks.

I’m not sure, but that would be completely fantastic if it’s true. That “news” channel is laughable.

He better be.

Yes. The White House is not hiding this. They’ve flat out stated that so long as “Fox News” continues to act as the publicity machine of the Republican Party rather than a legitimate news outlet, they will be treated as such.

fox news has shown themselves to be biased and phony. no thinking person should pay any attention to them.

im sure obama would love to go on fox news, if fox ever set up a news channel im sure he will go on it.

Why should Obama waste his time with FOX news when they don’t even pretend to be objective? He may as well make an appearance on TMZ.

once again people, fox “news” is a entertainment show, not a NEWS show

jonsblond's avatar

@blueknight73 All news channels have turned their programming into entertainment shows. FOX isn’t the only one.

Back in the Truman/Eisenhower/Kennedy White Houses, it was not unusual not to take questions from reporters who slammed you in their papers. That’s normal.
And yes, Bush did that with MSNBC.
The difference is Fox is populated by a bunch of whiny little bitches who are constantly on the lookout for a way to say Obama is Unamerican.

I wonder who exactly did this aforementioned reporting.
