What are some good movies that highlight global AIDS awareness?

For World Aids Day, an organization I am involved with wants to show a movie about global aids awareness. Once I know the movie, I can buy the dvd and get the rights for it, so that’s not a problem. One suggestion I’ve gotten so far is for the movie Philadelphia but I am hoping for more. Also, if you’ve actually seen the movie, that would be helpful.

The Ryan White Story. A 13 year old boy who contracted aides from a blood transfusion. Elton John became his friend.
Philadelphia is a fantastic movie and one I would wholeheartedly recommend. Another good one is And the Band Played On, which details the rise of AIDS and it’s initial identification. Also, Angels in the Dust is a good documentary.
Also, if you ask nicely, I might be able to hook you up with a brand new documentary by a leading HIV doctor.
My first thought was that After School Special, with the young boy with AIDS. It might be this one (and yeah, it’s from the 80s, but I remember watching it when I was younger and it being one of the first exposure to accepting people with AIDS and learning about it actually)
I recall a blood brothers scene, which is what I tried googling, so I’m not positive if this is the episode I saw.
Oh, and doesn’t RENT involve it? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen that.
How about Common Threads: Stories From the Quilt? It won an Oscar for best documentary in 1990.
Or Angels in America, Longtime Companion, or Love!Valour!Compassion!
The remake of The Fly with Jeff Goldblum was considered by some to be an allegory about AIDS
I found this list. I would hope that some of them are set in places other than the US. Nothing against the US, of course, but AIDS Day is for globa awareness of the disease.
