Turpentine, methylated spirits, paint thinner, nail polish remover. Anything solvent
Hot water and a pumice stone works well too.
I can assure you paint thinner does not work as well as you think it would, it drys very quickly and is harmful on bare skin.
yea it burns rather badly
Well i been in the Body Shop business for about 20 years so i am a bit used to it but still would rather use gloves, and they better be good gloves if the thinner is Virgin Thinner because it will eat Latex gloves up rapidly..
oh well then im just a wuss cause the last time i had it on my hands it was not enjoyable in the slightest :P
@uberbatman No wuss about it, if you aren’t used to it, it will burn, i would say some peoples skin is more sensitive also. So your not a wuss, you probably just aren’t used to it or have sensitive skin, no worries :)
@ccrow Ive heard that before, wonder if it works?
Well now i’m the guinea pig. I went out and got nail polish remover. Works ok. I agree with @OutOfTheBlue paint thinner sounds a little bit dangerous, and toxic. Thanks every body.
WD-40 wouldn’t work as Super Glue is not oil based.
@ccrow Ill keep that in mind next time i get crazy with the super glue!!
I usually try to soften it up with alcohol and then run my fingers under warm water and pick it off. I don’t know of any more effective way.
Acetone or fingernail polish remover…
Wait till the skin cells die and fall off, eventually the superglue will just fall off.
Or just be smart and wear gloves next time, doofus
