Any advice on how to deal with head and hand tremors?

Asked by tocutetolive90 (888points) November 19th, 2009

I just went to the doctor and got some blood drawn and waiting to go neuro doctor, but they think I have essential tremors or moderate tremors which is the same as essential, but i guess essential is mostly in older people and I’m only 19. Does anyone have this or know any tricks to controlling it. From what I heard there is no real way and it will just get worse as I age. But if anyone has an advice or know about this disorder and could tell me that would be great.

How bad is it? I have a hand tremor with no known cause, which I’ve had since birth, I’m 21.

my hand is pretty mild just effects my job kinda putting in catheters and probably gonna effect me keeping it steady drawing blood. the head is so bad it gives me killer head aches. the head is worse then my hand, but hand is what interferes with my work. I just got it a couple year ago. I fell off the couch and then it came, but they said it the tremors thing and not caused by falling off the couch. I might have had it since birth but just started getting really bad, but I can’t really tell you.
