What are some good music colleges?

Asked by rentluva5256 (555points) December 11th, 2009

I’m only a freshman in high school, but I know I want to continue with music. I want to know how I can do this by getting into a good college.

I had a friend that went to Berklee College of Music in Boston and LOVED it. http://www.berklee.edu/

@rentluva5256 they have both vocal and instrumental programs. I believe they have some archives of performances on their website; they also perform at the Walt Disney concert hall in L.A., and have their own performance venue there in downtown L.A. at that complex.

Thanks @sndfreQ I’ll be sure to check that out!

@rentluva5256 you’re welcome…they do a spring concert series that’s amazing! They fly in world-renowned musicians who play with the student musicians; I really enjoyed hearing their West African drumming, their Gamelan (Balinese, Javanese), and their North and South Indian ensembles…among the best in the world!
