Why is the soundtrack for the film Nine available on the US itunes but not on the UK's?

Asked by tirithalui (408points) December 16th, 2009

I’m really looking forward to giving the soundtrack a listen, and all sources pointed to a 15th December digital release date, but it has so far only appeared in the US iTunes not in the UK (where I am based). Does anyone know when it will be released here?

Thanks.

Perhaps because the distributors didn’t think it would be as possible in the UK? I think it all leads down to money and marketing. And who’s on the soundtrack.

Maybe, but they’ve been plugging the film pretty heavily over here, so I’m a little surprised. Might just be released later. :(

Have you checked the Internet for a UK release date? or is that a dumb question

$$$$$ They have a contract for distribution in the States, but don’t have one for Europe, so they are with holding it from the European market, including Itunes UK.

Yeah I’ve been looking around on the internet for the UK digital release date and I haven’t found one, so it might be it’ll just come out when it does in stores.

@Rude_Bear Yeah, that seems most likely.
