The people—smart, witty, welcoming, and they’re a fun bunch. The moderators do an awesome job and things run rather smoothly here.

I was a devoted ABer for many years. when you change something in the middle of the stream, you should at least give the people a warning and offer free guidance information for them to download. AB did not of this. the new AB just appeared and gave the impression that we either like it or lump it. i lumped it. I am hoping that Fluther does not follow in the same footsteps.so far, Fluther appears to be a more strict version of AB. i like the watchdogs on Fluther, that keep the trash out. Fluther appears to be a step above AB and i like that.

As a former AB’er, I appreciate things being more “controlled” here and mods staying on top of things, people are very nice and the site is very “eye-catching” too.

Fluther has so many good qualities! Really like the way they keep the site clean! Have looked at several other sites, and Fluther is by the far, the best one! It is easy to navigate, fun, educational, and there are lots of really nice people here. Just really happy to be a part of the Fluther family.

I do luv the cheese and crackers.

I’m liking the less point focused mentality of the site.

I also like that the moderators and owners of this site seem not to have had their funny bone removed!

I like the speedy removal of inappropriate postings.

I like that I have been unable to discern any cliquish behavior.

The fact that it’s a forum for many different opinions and perspectives.

Its really a great site. better than Answerbag and thats saying a lot coming from me after 5 years on it. why are we allowed only 3 questions in a 12 hour period? i have yet to understand this part of Fluther.

Honestly, it’s the people. It’s finding people who will listen and respond with care, and with intelligence. It’s their humor; their pathos….. no, wait. Beginning to sound like a movie script.

It’s being able to talk to hundreds of people at once, and to throw out shit (ideas) and see what sticks (people engage with). It’s finding people just like you, who share your particular concerns, or who, heaven forbid, actually like you.

There’s poetry, there’s stories, there’s philosophical discussions, there’s help for the clueless of every variety, from would be photographers to would be lovers. It’s just fun. And beware. Some people like it so much, they stop spending time doing anything else. If you do stay here, I would recommend that from the very beginning, you put yourself on a limited diet.
