We need a little more info. Did it put an icon in your start menu or dock? Does it try to open then fail? Where did you buy it from?

I bought it from the apple store

its on the desktop screen (on top of the picture thing)

I just don’t know how to open it now

do you have a mac or pc? Install is a little different on both.

did you double click the icon? It should bring up the installer window, then click the icon again.

I double clicked the little square with the cd in the corner icon and it brought me to a window with icons that said the languages

And by the way, this is Adobe illustrator. I messed up the question.

drag the icon to your applications folder and see what that does.

Uh oh. Another problem. When I try to open it all that opens is a grey bar at the top. How do I open to the program??

willbrawn's avatar

Click File: new window or file

The program is running, you’ll need to open something.

Ok, I opened a new project. All that shows is the white rectangle. How do I get all the functions to pop up?

willbrawn's avatar

not sure, it should be under one of the drop down menus. I dont use that program sorry.

By the way, to get the tools to show up, choose the window drop down menu and select tools. There are other “windows” to select as well, like colors and swatches. You’ll have to personalize it how you see fit.

@shilolo but where’s Tools? Under the window dropdown menu it only says Arrange, Application Frame, Application Bar, Attributes, Info, and Type.
