I bought a new Acer from Amazon. I LOVE it. $96. I don’t know if that price is still in affect now, but that’s what I paid for it last fall.

I have had good luck with Dell monitors. I found one that seems like it would work for you. And it does tilt.

Rignt now you can get an eMachines E211H 21.5” Widescreen LCD Monitor from Staples at $99.90 plus tax with free shipping. if you can get a promo code on the net you can further reduce your cost. I may have one for 15% off emailed to me by Staples

You need to compare for Resolution, Contrast Ratio. If your particular about gaming or video presentation, you need to look for lower numbered Response times. If your PC has a beefed up video card, you should also look for digital video interface (DVI) for enhanced viewing. Built-in speakers is also a plus.

Here’s the specs for this eMachines:
21.5” Active Matrix TFT Widescreen LCD Display
Resolution 1920×1080
Contrast ratio 20000:1 (dynamic)
Response time 5ms
Inputs VGA & DVI
Brightness 300cd/m2
Built in speakers 1Wx2
Dimensions 17.3“W x 14.1“H x 7.1“D
1 year warranty

I bought a Hannspree 22” for $150 a few months ago from Best Buy. It’s 1080p and has an HDMI connector. And (bad) built in speakers.

I’ve got a friend that had a bad Hannspree experience, though.

I’d just watch for a good deal on Slickdeals. They have really good deals usually a few times a month. If you don’t need it immediately you can find a really good deal that way. They regularly post deals for 24” models around your price range.
