Reproducing old quotes makes you just another twitspammer.

Write well, and advertise well outside of twitter. Get everyone you know to follow you, and from there they’ll help you get more followers.

Be more of an important person lol. And say original, thought provoking things to make people want to listen to you.

@daemonelson Good, I feel a little less isolated now. Even at my young age, I feel old when I resist new ‘technology’ like this.

@FireMadeFlesh From what I can gather, it’s the equivalent of the facebook status, being updated 24/7, and the site does nothing else. To me, this is the 9th circle of hell.

Twitter is like any other walk of life, you just gotta be worth listening to.

One of the best ways is to be a very active member with interesting and insightful things to say. You should write lots of Tweets (10–20 per day). Your Tweets should be meaningful. Being entertaining and funny also helps.

Find people who share your interests, follow them, and engage them by replying to their posts. Re-Tweeting also helps.
