How long does it take for a pointy tooth to come in when it is pulled when it's not loose?

Asked by lexipoorocks (146points) January 25th, 2010

I got my tooth pulled by the dentist when it wasn’t lose but it’s been almost a year now and it hasn’t come in yet. I had both of my top pointy teeth pulled and the one on the right is coming in very good!! But the one on the left the gum on the side is kind of hanging and there isn’t the slightest bit of white there. Is this normal? Are they suppose to come in at really different times? It that lose part of my gum suppose to be there?

Maybe it’s not ready. It took about two years for my teeth to come in when the dentist decided pulling all my baby teeth would make my adult teeth come in….they lied.

it should be on about par with the other one. go back. they might want to pull it down ( a braces type device) or in rare cases simple surgery.
