Where is this coming from and how do I get rid of it?

My iphone has 2.34GB of “other” on it. What the $#%@ is other??? I only have a 8GB iphone so that’s a lot of space taken up by, well I’m not to sure, hence the question.

the other on my iPhone is photos, notes, and I’m assuming what is the internet cache.

I have one note, I’ve cleared the history, cookies, and cache under settings and the photos have their own space to fill. I have 704KB of photos. Oh and I have two calender events so that can’t be it either.

Photos are counted outside of “other” – which is the OS, mail messages and attachments, saved text chats, and the like.
