How do I connect Google Analytics with my wix.com webpage?

Asked by melanie81 (794points) March 16th, 2010

So here’s the deal. I have my own domain name through www.namecheap.com.

I have an premium-package webpage through www.wix.com, with which I’m very happy.

I have simply forwarded my personal domain name to my WIX webpage.

I’ve set up my Google Analytics, put the tracking number in precisely where WIX tells me to put it…and I have tried EVERYTHING, but it’s just not working!! I visit the site at least once a day from various computers just to see how it’s running, so I know it should be picking those up. Advice?

Generally, you just have to follow Google’s instructions: cut and paste the snippet into the html of your site and it should work.

Some sites specifically block the use of scripts like this, for security—it appears it will work on wix if you have your own domain, so you should be okay. (Instructions at http://support.wix.com/index.php/Google_Analytics)

If you post a link to your site, we can verify that the code snippet in correctly installed.
