How do we see pictures in our mind?

Ya know like when you close your eyes and picture something, but then if you try look at it for a while it is really hard,

I am doing this for a research paper at roundup high school in montana

any help would be great thanks!

I don’t know the biological mechanism, but I know that the more you practice ‘seeing’ things in your head, the more vivid and stable the images become. It is possible to imagine all kinds of things clearly and in great detail, with practice.

Our visual cortex can be fed by both our eyes and our memory.
