Clothing to bring to Las Vegas in April?

Asked by Ammolite (72points) April 2nd, 2010

I’m moving to Vegas in a few days from the northeast, so I’m unsure of what clothing to bring with me for this time of year (not quite yet summer yet, etc.). Last I was there, it was December, and I made use of all of the things I listed below, but now it’s already April.

I’m leaving the sweaters and heavy coats and winter accessories behind, but what about:
– Long sleeve t-shirts and blouses
– Sweatpants to lounge/sleep in
– Lightweight zip-up sweatshirt (ever get chilly during the nights?)
– Black denim motorcycle jacket

Should these all be left behind?

Are you moving permanently? your question is a little vague in that area. Las Vegas is normally always on the warm side. its like springtime all year round. if you are just visiting, take springtime clothing. if you are moving to Las Vegas forever, then take all of your clothes.

It can get very warm in April, but the average temperatures for Vegas in April are- 78° F (26° C) 51° F (11° C)

I would bring the zip-up sweatshirt for the evenings, just in case.

Well, I can’t bring it all at the moment, due to temporary space constraints.

I’m separating things and bringing what I’ll need for this and next season, and the winter goods can be sent later, so I just want to make sure I’m covered for now.

Vegas, of course, is in the desert. This means hot, of course, but also cold. When the wind blows thru the desert at night, it can be downright frigid.
April is a nice month to go. Bring long sleeve shirts, or short sleeve with a sweat-shirt, and you should be fine.
