Will I lose my subcription to Norton if I uninstall it?

Asked by valdasta (2146points) April 6th, 2010

I renewed my subcription to Norton (different subject). Ever since then my pc has been so slow. I wanted to uninstall it for a bit to see if Norton is the cause of my problem or if it is just my prejudice. Will I lose my subcription? Can I uninstall then reinstall? Or…does it not even work the way I think it does?

YES YOU WILL LOST UR SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!

Check out the Terms of Service. https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/termsconditions.jsp

Or hook up with support and ask what you should do. Here: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/support_policies.jsp.

No. But you will lose the days that norton isn’t installed.

Norton is notorious for slowing down computers.

@davidbetterman This seems to be the word on the street.

@davidbetterman that was true 5 years ago but 2010 version is a very light program. It installs in seconds without a restart and even during a full scan will use no more than about 5% of a single core.
