I am looking for getting Group Health Insurance?

Asked by joeyhughes (5points) April 7th, 2010

In the Economic slowdown, I lost my job. My new employer does not provide group health insurance to its employees. Any help as how I should buy health insurance privately?

Call around. Know your budget. And be prepared to not get all the bells and whistles you may have had in the past. Look for high deductibles if you are in good health. If you are young and healthy you may want to consider simply carrying major medical. That way you are covered fully in a catastrophe but pay as you go for regular care. Good luck.

Online Health insurance quotes are quite easy to obtain and very competitive. There are Q & A “tools” to walk you through your needs and budget that will tailor a policy to best suit your needs.

Yes, most of the big companies have private insurance. You might even fall into one of their ‘group’ categories, it never hurts to ask.
