are you on any hormonal birth control? this can cause spotting especially if you have not been on it for a long time. Another cause of spotting can be chlamydia. If there is any chance you might have this pop down to your doctors/gum clinic and get a test.
Pregnancy tests also generally are not very accurate at all before your period. I know some say they do tell you before your period however read the packet and they usually say that this is about like 40% accurate or even less sometimes.
Are you still cramping now?

I am on birht control but i’ve been on it for almost a year now. Its been messing up my periods for the past 3 months so my doc thoguht maybe its not strong enough anymore. I’m sceduled to get the mirina when i start my period. I shouldnt have chlamydia cuz i’ve only had one sex partner and were always together and have been for 4 years now.
I took the first response 6 days sooner test. and it says 68% 6 days sooner and everyone that was 4 days before showed pregnant if they were.

I would reccommend talking to your doctor, expecially if it has been messing up your periods for 3 months.
I also think that it might be good if you have a look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycystic_ovary_syndrome
my aunt has this and it can be a cause for irregular periods. you probably dont have it but if you are aware of the symptoms this will at least keep you aware of it as it is pretty common.
I would also say to wait and see if your period arrives before you go to see the doctor, they will probably want to know if you do get your period or not being as it is so close. but if you are worried, the stress may cause further disruption to your periods for no reason making you stress even more. It is a vicuious cycle when things go wrong down there but the best thing to do is not worry youself too much. i know its easier said than done.

if you are on the pill it would mask PCOS, I don’t think that is it. I would have guessed you were pregnant, but since you are on the pill that is unlikely too. And, unlikely you were pregnant three months in a row if this is a pattern for thelast three months.

You are saying you have been on the pill with no problem for 9 months, and then three months ago your periods got weird? Is that correct? I agree that you might need more hormone, that the spotting is break through bleeding. Why not just try a stronger pill rather than switch to the IUD?

Yea thats right. Well my insurence dont pay for the iud anymore so i got a new pill. But i read up on it and its a low dose pill. Its called Loestrin 24 fe. I havent started it yet.

Well, low dose means more likely to have breakthrough bleeding, maybe that is the trouble. I would assume our old pill was low dose also.

Im not sure if it was low dose or not. I dont even know the name of it. But it probably was.
