Dvorak Cello Concerto in B minor.

“Tupelo Honey” by Van Morrison
Time After Time. Not the Cyndi Lauper version… a different one. Not sure who did it originally (Ella Fitzgerald?) but it has been covered several times. Simple, beautiful melody and very sweet lyrics.
Time after time
I tell myself that I’m
So lucky to be loving you
So lucky to be
The one you run to see
In the evening when the day is through.
I only know what I know
The passing years will show
You kept my love so young, so new
And time after time
You’ll hear me say that I’m
So lucky to be loving you.
@earthduzt I hate to admit it but If you’re not the one by Daniel Bedingfield is really good, I heard him do it with just himself and an acoustic guitar on TV once and have never been able to find that version.
I Will Follow You Into The Dark I think is very romantic as is Beautiful Freak another would possibly be The Dark Is Rising but that is romantic more musically than lyrically, the lyrics are sweet it’s just that together with the orchestration they have a far larger impact than they would have otherwise.
My ultimate romantic song would be Softly Whispering I Love You the intro is a bit odd and the song is pretty simple but to me it says it all. Me and my wife had our first dance to this one at our wedding.
My love must be a kind of blind love.
I can’t see anyone but you.
Are the stars out tonight?
I don’t know if it’s cloudy or bright.
I only have eyes for you, dear.
The moon may be high,
but I can’t see a thing in the sky.
I only have eyes for you.
I don’t know if we’re in a garden
or on a crowded avenue.
You are here and so am I.
Maybe millions of people go by.
But they all disappear from view.
And I only have eyes for you.
Aw, yeah…
Since I Don’t Have You….the Skyliners, 1958.
Old song that was way ahead of its time. give a listen on Youtube.
Definitely I Never Said I Was Deep by Jarvis Cocker.
“if every relationship is a two-way street,
I have been screwing in the back whilst you drive.”
Or not. But I like it.
“When a Man Loves a Woman,” as recorded by Percy Sledge.
