Who wants to play the movie chain game?

Asked by erichw1504 (26448points) October 1st, 2010

For how long can we connect one movie to another? Let’s find out!

Answer with a movie that in some way, shape or form is connected to the movie previous.
It can be that it has the same actor, setting, director, similar storyline, etc.
Please provide the name of the movie along with how it is connected.
Try to go for a fairly specific connection, not something broad like: “They are both action films.”
No repeats, unless it was answered a long time ago.
If you don’t know the previous movie, look it up on IMDB.

Example:
Previous movie Titanic

Answer Waterworld, both are set primarily at sea

Have fun!

No thanks. I’ll stick to the time traveler rather than be the Bride of Chucky

erichw1504's avatar

Did you know that she was once involved in the great Bride Wars?

Blueroses's avatar

Didn’t the Corpse Bride win that?

erichw1504's avatar

Yes, but who was the Father of the Bride?

Blueroses's avatar

Father Time, naturally :)

erichw1504's avatar

Does he live in The Land Before Time?

OreetCocker's avatar

Am sure that it was The Land That Time Forgot

erichw1504's avatar

Nope, it’s actually the Land of the Lost.

Blueroses's avatar

where I ended up after The Lost Weekend

lynfromnm's avatar

which you probably enjoyed with The Lost Boys

Blueroses's avatar

ooh you know it! There’s that one dark-haired vamp… but I digress. I know Where the Boys Are

lynfromnm's avatar

especially the Bad Boys

erichw1504's avatar

Not as bad as the Bad Lieutenant.

OreetCocker's avatar

But not better than The French Lieutenants Woman

lynfromnm's avatar

and less satisfying than a French Kiss

erichw1504's avatar

which results in: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

lynfromnm's avatar

and be careful; it could be dangerous to Kiss the Girls

erichw1504's avatar

because they’re Mean Girls!

Blueroses's avatar

You’ll overlook the mean-ness if they’re Drop Dead Gorgeous

lynfromnm's avatar

Oh no, are they Dead Again?

Blueroses's avatar

Actually, they’re undead Vampire Hookers

OreetCocker's avatar

Really? I thought they were Lesbian Vampire Killers

lynfromnm's avatar

but you’ll never know the truth until you’ve had an Interview With a Vampire

Blueroses's avatar

Dangerous proposition. It starts as an interview and ends with Love Bites

erichw1504's avatar

which causes you to Bite the Bullet.

lynfromnm's avatar

you can only bite it if you can catch it, which is difficult if it’s Bullitt

VS's avatar

keep your Bullitt’s dry, ‘cause Baby, The Rain Must Fall

Blueroses's avatar

And then you’ll have A Hatful of Rain

lynfromnm's avatar

Which gives you a great reason to be Singin’ In the Rain

sakura's avatar

but when you are dancing in the rain it’s hard to be Little Miss Sunshine

erichw1504's avatar

Your dancing is so bad that you’ll see Tears of the Sun.

lynfromnm's avatar

But you can dance all day in the Empire of the Sun.

Blueroses's avatar

You’ll be caught out in the Rising Sun

erichw1504's avatar

During the Days of Thunder.

Xilas's avatar

You’ll certainly need a Top Gun when the War of Worlds finally happens
