What activities increase the "buzz" of alcohol without increasing blood alcohol content?

Definitely seems like the buzz from drinking a beer after a nice run comes on earlier than otherwise. What else?

Let’s try to avoid doubling up with other active ingredient items, like mixing mixing with OTC or illicit drugs.

I know that if you eat potatoes, you can drink more because the starch absorbs it. That’s not what you asked, but it’s the first thing that came to mind.

Physical exhaustion combined with a few beers always felt good.

Hate to advocate this, but adding mild doses of certain pharamceuticals always helps. Adderall, Vicodin, Valium…like I said, I am not condoning it, but the fact is, it helps.

I’ve heard people say drinking through a straw makes them get drunker faster, but I’ve never experienced that myself, so I don’t know how true it is.

Spin around REALLY REALLY fast, for about a minute. Stop, and try to stand still. If you don’t throw up, you’ll definitely feel the buzz. You’ll probably feel it if you throw up, too.

@Taciturnu, I’m most definitely a spin throw-upper. Just thinking about it almost makes me hurl.

@robmandu If I’m to be honest, I’ve never tried it. I saw a woman at a bar one night who was doing exactly this outside. When I asked her friend what was up, she said “she was trying to maintain her buzz, since the bartender shut her off.” (I wonder why…) I laughed.

Since alcohol is a diuretic, I’ve noticed that a buzz can be sustained by drinking water after taking a break following a long period of enjoying spirits.

Sit down with some mates and polish a bottle of spirits in an hour or so. Great, everyone is sweet and not to pissed. Then get up and go for a stroll to the bottle shop for another and see what happens when you start moving.
Exercising, moves the alcohol laden blood to the brain.

Empty stomach is recipe for loss of recollection and disaster. I can drink for days on end with good food, but if you start on an empty stomach its all downhill from the word go.
