What color of eye contacts look really great with hazel green eyes?

Asked by emeraldisles (1949points) May 26th, 2011

I have hazel eyes with green and gold specks but am interested in getting eye contacts so I can take a break from my glasses for a while. I was thinking about trying the violet colored ones, emerald green ones, or even the gray colored ones. So what do you think would be the most attractive color for my eyes. But I already decided I’m not going to try the brown ones.

Go for the violet. We used to have a jelly by that name with amazing eyes.

Hey thank you. I’m just hoping that my eyes look bigger and more almond shaped.

A friend of mine has hazel eyes that tend more toward brown than green. She wore blue contacts for years and the effect was really nice. I’d try violet, though, just for fun – I don’t think they were available when my friend got hers.

I’m thinking hazel eyes, with green and gold specks sounds like pretty beautiful eyes. I would use clear lenses.

Oh thankyou all for your responses. I guess I could just get a couple of pairs of lenses and see whcih ones look really awesome.

With many current colored contacts your natural eye color makes very little difference. There are, quite literally, contacts out there that can turn your brown eyes blue. So, it really boils down to what color you want your eyes to be rather than what works well with your natural color.

I’ve always been partial to green eyes myself.

I have dark green eyes.. I used to tease my father that I got ‘Army Green’ eyes because of all the time he spent in that colour in the US Army. I brightened them up in the 90’s with a very lightly tinted green contact. It gave my eyes a bit more of a ‘pop’. I wouldn’t bother now that I’m over 40 because my face and body just don’t hold the same promise and I would look silly. I’ve also pretty much given up wearing contacts. My astigmatism is so bad, I’d have to get special order contacts and I haven’t tried that. The reason I went with very lightly tinted contact too was for practical reasons. My eyesight is so bad, that they were easier to see when I took them in and out. LOL….. Old blind bat, me. Meh.

Hazel green eyes are already great :) Why do you want to change it?
