I have two favorites: Burberry London, and Rihanna’s first scent. I think it’s just called Rihanna.

I love Flower by Kenzo.

I’ve never really found a perfume that I’m in love with – at least not one that I’ve ever been in a position to justify paying for. ^_^

If I really feel like scenting myself, I’ll use an essential oil blend – usually ylang ylang, but sometimes sandalwood and patchouli.

For decades, I wore Estée Lauder’s Cinnabar, but a few years ago I developed an allergy to it. I got compliments frequently, but it didn’t smell anywhere near as good on other friends and family that tried it. It’s funny how fragrance works with the body’s chemistry.

Now I don’t wear any fragrances, as most of them make me sneeze. I use fragrance-free soaps, detergent and deodorant, too.

I wear Beautiful and White Linen, both by Estée Lauder. I love Cinnabar but it doesn’t smell good on me.

I like @Seek_Kolinahr‘s answer. I often use essential oils they can not be overrated at all.

But I did find Jean Paul Guatier’s Classique I can’t remember the year but I would recognize the bottle to be positively divine.
I always get compliments the bottle lasts me over a year and it only costs $40.

I will show my age once again and say White Shoulders. It was the only perfume to wear when I was young. I still rather like it but I rarely wear perfume anymore. I now prefer the scent of Dove’s lime and something soap.

I can never remember the name. I’ll get back to you on that tomorrow. I don’t want to wake my husband up looking for the bottle. But for now, one of them is Anise.

My favorite perfume that I like is Bombshell by Victoria Secret. It smells so good. I have had a few compliments from men saying that it smells like an aphrodisiac. I usually use the bath gel, then the lotion and lastly spray on the perfume. It has been said that it lasts longer if you layer it. @hearkat I too developed an allergy to Cinnabar. I can’t stop sneezing! Same happened when I used to wear Coco Channel. I also like to wear a NIght Blooming Jasmine body lotion from Bath n’ Body works. Moolight Path is a musky perfume that I think smells sexy. It’s also by Bath n’ Body works.

L’Air du Temps and it has such a pretty bottle, if you’re a collector. The scent is fresh and gentle.

@jordym84 I love Flowers too! I loved Jungle by Kenzo until I used it all up . . .
Roses by Paul Smith is pretty good too and Chanel No.5 is special.

I’ve never found a “perfume” that I love. I like body spritzes, the one that I wear most often is cotton candy. Yes, I know it sounds juvenile, but I love it, and I get so many compliments… I think because it’s familiar and also unexpected, but it does smell good. I also have a honey scent that I wore for a while.
The only “perfume” that I ever wore regularly was Love’s Baby Soft, when I was really young, and every now and then I still like it. It reminds me of being a little girl.

@rooeytoo, the first grownup perfume I wore as a young woman was White Shoulders. I still love the smell, but on other women. My body chemistry must have changed and it doesn’t smell good on my now.

jordym84: Flowers is my wife’s favorite.

Opium (but a little bacon behind each ear gets the most compliments) . . .

@Kayak8 That sounds as if you are going the whole hog if you ask me!

I read in an article somewhere that guys love the smell of Vanilla. The article suggested to use Pure vanilla extract on your pulse points….wrists, behind the knees, neck and inner arm opposite side of your elbow. It does smell good, but I wouldn’t think it would last.

I have re-discovered Lolita Lempicka & realise it is lovely.

I used to wear Yves Saint Laurent’s Rive Gauche. It could be described as my signature scent in the past. I still have some but rarely wear it. My taste is changing as I age and I really just want a fresh, natural perfume. Currently, I fancy a very citrusy fragrance. I just bought some Clinique ‘Happy’ for my son. It is very fresh and has that zing of citrus but isn’t overpowering. I will keep researching to find something for me.

I am wearing L’occitane Cherry Blossom right now. Again, light and fresh and not overpowering.

@Bellatrix: I used to wear Clinique Happy (for women) and I liked it a lot. It was an unusual scent.

I don’t wear perfume very much anymore but when I did my favourite was Samsara

Thanks for the tip @jca. I will check it out. I love the male version! I get bored with the same perfume so I am always looking for something new.
