I wish to know as much as I can about my candy.

I have no idea, but I do toss them out of the bedroom window onto the soft heads of unsuspecting passers-by, maybe I should ask them…or not.

Relevant (since this is in Social): Two years ago, I decided it would be entertaining to catch M&M’s with my mouth. Since then, I have not been allowing myself to eat them the regular way. It has drastically reduced my intake of M&M’s and thus made me miserable. I don’t recommend it.

When they started putting those letters on the candy, I doubt if the word “font” had even been thought up yet.

^ Actually, the word has been in regular use since the late 1500s.

I’ll take your word for it although in all honesty I don’t think I ever recall hearing it used until recent times. If I did, it wasn’t often.

The word means “casting”, and comes from a time when all typeface characters were cast at the same time, for a printing press.
