What is your personal choice of vehicle cosmetics?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) January 10th, 2014

If you had the choice of driving your vehicle with a straight body but mismatched fenders, hood, doors, etc. or driving around in it with all the same color but with a very noticeable or even crushed fender, bumper, bent hood, etc. which would you find would bother you less; straight body with mismatch colors, noticeable to sever dents but same color all around?

Dents and wrinkles would bother me more than mismatched colors.

I don’t care as long as it runs.

I have a huge skull-and-bones on the hood of my car. So long as the body isn’t structurally unsound (a real issue for modern unibody cars), I’m fine.

Besides, Krylon is cheap.

I haven’t driven a dented car in quite some time, but it never bothered me when I had a dent in the rear fender.
On my Jeep, the clear coat is flaking off (as they are known to on Jeeps), and I find that quite annoying.

If the dents were enough to impact function by creating drag or an annoying whistle or rattle, I’d not hesitate to replace with a part of a different color.
