For romance to survive in modern times, should women learn to be just as protective of men as men are of women?

What’s there to learn? Haven’t good women always stood by, been loyal to, and protected their men?

It would not be learn, it would be revisit. Women have been protective of men. We got so wrapped up in trying to catch up to men, we forgot to be protective of them.
I think it would be appropriate for women to resume being protective of men. It will take some doing though, to get a new generation taught, when their parents don’t have any idea how to go about teaching them
Women’s methods of protection tend to be more wiley than those of men, but quite effective.

My wife is very protective of me. She cooks and has a law degree and will rip your face off if you fuck with me. She’s pretty bad ass that way.

That being said, I’d return the favor in a heart beat.

That’s just good teamwork. Sure she’s a gal and I’m a dude, but we’re partners first.

Great answer @cookieman same with Mrs Squeeky she just doesn’t have a law degree, but everything else is spot on.

Heh….I’m 55 this year and was always very protective/proactive in my marriage as well.
Infact, I’d go so far as to say that I was THE mama bear and, infact, told my ex on more than one occasion that I was more woman than he could handle and more man than he’d ever be. lol
We divorced some years ago because bohemian, creative, super bright women do not do well with controlling, OCD, corporate schmoozers. haha
Today he is a schmoozing, golfing, corporate loafer and I am managing a ranch in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

What have I done today?
Got all girly for a shopping trip, cleaned stalls, hauled hay, went on a round up with the neighbors when 9 of the neighboring steers broke into the pasture over here, carried and broke down bales of pine shavings for the horses stalls, and just made a killer shrimp stir fry and am now having wine in my skimpy nitey.
Yep, I’d say I’m a woman to be reckoned with. lol

Is that possible while being so inherently catty?

The question is too vague. Protection from what? Are the threats to men shifting such that women are particularly equipped to somehow blunt them?

I’D do anything to protect my husband, even from himself & his family. His mom is on thin ice knocking his self-esteem.
