People think that they can use another’s resources better than the victems. Land , titles, wealth, taxes ; it’s all for grab. It’s like a giant RISK game.

War is the ultimate failure, of reason, of logic & most tragically, of humanity.

Desire in a nutshell. Sometimes the desire to protect what you have or others and other times the desire to destroy what others have that you don’t.

War is the ultimate expression of tribalism, which, simply put, is “Us vs. Them”. We have many less radical ways of manifesting our tribal tendencies – family ties, team sports, religious affiliations, etc. – but when the division between ” us” and “them” becomes absolute, so that “they” are seen as utterly alien, and when this happens on a national scale, then conditions are ripe for war.

To be able to psychologically justify destruction on that scale, we have to convince ourselves that “they” are so unlike us that co-existence is impossible. We can then think of them as something other than human beings very much like us. Compassion doesn’t apply to them.

Higher thinking brings with it greed, jealousy, and bigotry.

Chimps using weapons.
When they are supplied by humans.
War will happen. Humans have the cerebral capacity to make plans, weapons, and camouflage, so we are known for our war making above that of other creatures, but, with the abilities present, other animals also make war.
Is this nucking futs, or what?
