At what time of the day do you feel your best?

Asked by Tbag (3549points) May 28th, 2016

I feel so energized late at night. If I need to get some work done, I’d make sure I start late at night. My mind is at its peak between 12am to 4am! How about you? When is your mind at its peak?

Curiosity kicked in so figured I’d ask.

During my morning shower.
I think my brain works all the day’s conundrums out while I sleep and a relaxing shower just lets them all flood into my conscious.
About that time I’m ready to take on the world.

Mid to late afternoon. So my energised time is from about 3–4pm until about 7ish. Unfortunately, that coincides with everyone coming home from work and wanting to talk to me!

@Tbag You and I are soul owls. Same for me.

My work allows me to sleep when I am tired. For the last few weeks I have been waking up at 2am and crashing around 5–8PM. I usually nap for a few hours around 10AM.

I work a hell of a lot better when it is dark and cold.

I don’t know why, but from 7.30 p.m to 12 a.m is the time when I’m the most active. I can take any work and I do my work perfectly during this time. The morning is OK, but the afternoon please don’t talk to me. My mind just turns itself off during the time

I figure that most people around me aren’t active at the same time, so it is difficult to persuade anyone to do anything with me in the evening, with is a bit irritating.

Mornings and, after a nap, late afternoons and evenings.

Late morning to early afternoon. I’m also ok during the evening. Too late at night and I’m not into reading, talking, whatever.

There was a quiz on here, someone linked to (or was it on FB?). You answered a bunch of lifestyle questions and then it told you if you were a morning person (and it gave you degrees, the answers weren’t black and white) or if an evening person.

Very early mornings and then from about 9.00 to 11.00 evenings. Rest of the time I just function because I have to. If my duties are over I just lie comatose. Not how I want it to be but just is despite my efforts to fight it.

7 am to 4 pm is my work hours and have been for the last 20 years so I am conditioned to be on point in those hours. 9 pm to 10 pm is my down time as I make sure I have nothing to think or worry about before bed.

Right after a good solid work out or run, no better feeling to have the butler run a nice hot bubble bath, with my fave rubber ducky & squeeky hippo for company…heaven

Same as you @Tbag . My brain starts buzzing around the early hours of the morning, 12am onwards.
