Shall we talk about this demon tree?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46812points) January 6th, 2017

I was perusing Snopes when I came across this article. Snopes doesn’t say much about it really, but also doesn’t say whether it’s true, false or if it’s been photo shopped.

So, what do you think of it?

Seriously though, something like this is incredibly easy to do.
Just make some vaguely demon shaped thing out of Papier Mâché, then take a blurry picture in the dark when no-one is around to witness you.

I mean, even crop circle forgers put more work into their shenanigans.

Go out paying attention to plants and clouds and other natural shapes and before long you will see all sorts of interesting forms.

The demons (or other patterns) conjured are real things inside the psyches of the people beholding them.

I think it is a real crappy picture of someones palm tree in the front yard.

Shooting the new Jeepers Creepers film on an incredibly low budget.

That’s Ryuk. He is a Shinigami, not a fucking tree. Calling a death god a demon tree is kinda offensive, y’know. Have some respect.

He probably just came to see what’s up. Not likely he’ll bother anyone personally (watch out for the Death Note carriers, though).

@Sneki95 I am not afraid of your mythological gawds….I will put on my necklace of apples and taunt it’s fairy ass…if this Daemon has any self respect it will sit down with me and play a hand of Go Fish….winner take all.

Whaaaat? That’s like near where a bunch of people are, how is anyone even taking this seriously?

I use to get pictures of a bright white shadowing figure in the corner of my garden. It never made sense why this would happen. It appeared in a dark spot on my garden that had no way of getting light and the shape would sometimes appear to move. Then I one day decided to investigate. It was the sun reflecting off my second story window when the suns angle was just right and it would shine behind moving tree branches.
To test my theory. I put a card board over the window and the shadow disappeared.
Lights and reflection can do all sorts of things. He could even have a dirty camera lens.

^^^So does wind! It gets into places you can’t imagine and moves light stuff around.
