I am not Irish. I will celebrate the holiday. I will drink too much and I will have fun and like it. =]

Yes. Perhaps.

There’s a little Irish in me, though it’s not my primary ethnic background. I usually wear something green, though I don’t make a bit deal of St. Patrick’s Day.

I drive a green car (both green in color and in spirit, as it’s a hybrid), so my vehicle is always ready for the occasion.

Irish how? I’m American, but the majority of my family came from Ireland at some point. I’ve got red hair, which has lots of people asking about my heritage regularly.

Regardless, yes, I’ll be celebrating. We have a tradition! (We did it last year, that counts as tradition right?)

Honestly, I’ll probably forget and my husband will pinch me. That’ll be about it.

I thought everybody was Irish on St Patrick’s day.

Actually I’m Scotish, but don’t be pinching me, because I do have some green in my tartan.

I have red hair, green eyes and fair skin. Am I Irish? No. Not even a little bit.

Will I celebrate? A minty green drink is about as crazy as I’ll get. Ooh. McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes.

Not Irish. Not into public drunkenness. Not into being in places (can you say college campus?) where people are all wandering the streets in a drunken stupor.

Nope. Not gonna celebrate.

I am Irish, but I don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (the Irish don’t really either).

My paternal grandmother’s family came from Ireland. I’m past the going out to a bar point in my life but I’m sure I’ll have a few beers from a green bottle (Grolsch maybe?). I’ve got the Irish jig as a ring tone right now, if this all counts as celebrating.

AstroChuck's avatar

Yup. Sure am. And you can bet I’ll be all decked out in orange.

aprilsimnel's avatar

Yes, I am. No, I will not. I’ve done quite enough of that to last me the rest of my life, thank you. I’ll wear my fisherman’s sweater from County Kerry and a green ribbon. How’s that?

I am indeed Irish and on the 17th I will be celebrating my middle son’s 9th birthday!

arnbev959's avatar

I have Irish blood. I’ll wear green, and eat corned beef and cabbage that day, but I won’t be getting drunk. I’ll be celebrating my mother’s birthday!

@SuperMouse: Why does it seem like so many people have that birthday?

scamp's avatar

A little bit… and a whole lot!!

autumn43's avatar

I am Irish and will be going out with my Irish kids to find a corned beef and cabbage dinner. And I will have some Baileys (just a tad) and celebrate my heritage with my children!

Happy Birthday to all the people with a Saint Patrick’s Day birthday!

I am very Irish and I’m going all out on St. Patrick’s Day. Forget those “Kiss me I’m Irish” T’s, think green pants, a green shirt, and a green hat (for as long as I can get away with it in school, at least).

jasongarrett's avatar

I’m more Irish than anything else, I will be wearing orange, and I don’t go to the bars on amateur nights.

AstroChuck's avatar

I’m actually both orange and green Irish. I should be beating the crap out of myself, à la Tyler Durden, on March 17.

I’m with @AstroChuck on this one. No contest!

I have a bit of Irish heritage, although there is more Scottish in me, but I will certainly celebrate St. Patrick’s day with a few Irish Carbombs, especially because it is also the anniversary of when I lost my virginity some years ago! I will be missing my best friend’s mother’s corned beef and cabbage though, which is sad. I’m away from it on the 17th for the first time in a long while :(

casheroo's avatar

I have some Irish in me, but I don’t usually celebrate at all.
It’s the same day my grandfather was buried many years ago, and my mother is always very emotional…so drinking was never anything I thought to do.

Not Irish. Love the holiday!
