Are those VHS to USB converters worth it?

I have a ton of old VHS movies that I don’t want to throw away. I also only have a DVD player. Are those converters worth it? I know the quality won’t be the same.

I am doing it right now! Mine was – the only issue is that about half the time you run up against copyright protection. But I’m getting good, solid returns on my VHS conversions.

It’s a simple GigaWare converter…it was cheap, so I’m sure there are better ones.

What I tell you, though, is that I have a VCR – so it’s something that converts from that to the computer. I haven’t tried one of the converter units.
