Anyone else have a certain song that reminds them of a particular movie?

Asked by Winters (5859points) January 7th, 2011

For example, whenever I hear Sussudio by Phil Collins, American Psycho immediately comes to mind. Same thing with Mad World (Gary Jules cover) and Donnie Darko.

Sure – about a million. To name two: “Raindrops Keep falling on My Head” – Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: “Mrs Robinson” – The Graduate. There are a gazillion others.

@Winters At least you could play! I have my mom’s piano in my living room and can’t play a lick! I have to wait for my sis or brother to come over to hear it.

I’m with @Samantha_Rae, every time I hear Caring is Creepy and New Slang by The Shins, or The Only Living Boy in New York by Simon and Garfunkel I think of Garden State.

Peter Cetera’s Glory of Love from Karate Kid II

I was 12 and had a total crush the boy I went to see it with. Plus our aunt. Okay, he was my 3rd cousin, but I had never met him before and he lived on the other side of the country!

Queen – Who Wants To Live Forever reminds me of Highlander.
Prodigy – Voodoo People reminds me of Hackers.

There are quite a few others, but those are the main 4. Oh yea, the Star Trek fight scene music always reminds me of the movie The Cable Guy.
