What makes you feel like a million bucks?

Making someone else feel good does it for me.

Hanging out with my best friends. Getting “thank yous” at work from students.

Haircut and a good shave, or wearing some new clothes.

A clean house with all chores done. It takes such a burden off of my shoulders and makes everything seem fresh.

@Supacase Yes, I love the feeling after doing a complete clean of my entire house. The work it takes beforehand sucks, but the result is worth it.

I’ll second a haircut and a clean house.

Also, an afternoon nap or a day alone to read are great too.

A good, long snuggle/cuddle.

oooooooo loads of things honey. Seeing our puppy Jade running about crazy in the back garden wagging her tail and chasing one of her toys, smiling that way only she can, with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth,and her ears wiggling up and down, adorable :-)

As @Supacase says above, having spent my day off cleaning the house from top to bottom (even with all the breaks I have to take in between tasks, because of the pain…. bloody arthritis), but being able to look at each room, the bathroom all sparkling, with fresh towels all laid out, kitchen all squeeky clean and sparkly, bedroom hoovered, and lovely fresh bedding on, even wee Jade’s bed all freshly made up (she has little blankies and cushions too). The living room spotless and all dusted, Jade’s toys tidied back into her toy box, and floor brushed and large rug hoovered. It’s a wonderful feeling and just makes me feel great :-)

Nice weather does it in a heartbeat. The sun comes out and on goes my washing machine. The simple sight of line after line, after line of clean laundry gently blowing in the warm breeze makes my heart dance, and when you bring it all in….. the smell!!!! gorgeous!!!

Having a whole day ahead of me where there is nothing to do, nothing I have to catch up with, housework all done, no doctors or hospital appointments, no shift at work, no reason to have to go out of the house. Just Jade, Wallace (our budgie) and me, and a day I can spend doing anything I want to do. It’s a rare thing, but ooooooo it’s wonderful when it happens. Tomorrow is such a day, since I’ve done my housework today, and so tomorrow I’m thinking about having a “pamper” day. Nice shower when I get up, into fresh jammies, maybe treat myself to a face mask, maybe fluther for a while, settle down on the sofa with Jade and maybe watch a couple of the Swedish Wallander stories….. bliss :-)

The one thing that constantly makes me feel like a million dollars though, no matter what kind of day I’ve had, no matter how tired I feel, or what kind of shift I’ve had at work, the oe constant wonderful blessing I have in my life is hubby. He can make a bad day joyful just by smiling his beautiful smile and wrapping his arms round me for the best hug ever. He’s the hug champion of the world in my book :-) @erichw1504 GQ it’s cheered me up just answering it <hugs> xx

My hairdresser will often curl my hair and then mess it up deliberately so it is full of body. I can never seem to achieve the same look myself but I feel awesome when I come away from her salon.

I also love how I feel when I am wearing sexy underwear to the point that I pretty much always wear sexy underwear nowadays, even when it is unlikely anyone else will see it. My work uniform isn’t very flattering so knowing that my underwear is makes all the difference.

A massage. I’m not into a lot of pampering, but I love a good massage.

When am at home hanging around in the sofa eating my ass off watching TV and doing nothing else that requires work.

A million bucks.

Not exactly sure how a million bucks feels (but I’d sure like to find out!).

Having enough clothes for an entire vacation without doing any laundry.

When I get to spend real quality time with my children and or husband.
As Janbb said, when one of my students takes the time out to tell me I am doing my job well and they had a great learning experience while studying with me.
When something happens to remind me how damn lucky I am. No matter how much small shit happens, I am so much more fortunate than most people in this world. I won the lottery of life.
