What is this pain in my right side?

Asked by Marchofthefox (787points) February 3rd, 2011

The pain in my right side started around my hip area yesterday. It traveled a litte upward and was a dull pain. It only really caused pain when I applied pressure to the area around my lower ribcage. This morning it feels better but is still a little dull. I can bend and do things still. Maybe its my bed? I share my bed with my boyfriend,,

Don’t get your medical advice on the internet.
If the pain is like a sore muscle, I’d imagine you’re fine. Because people sleep weird and get aches. If the pain worries you, and you’ll know – get to a doctor.

Pain in your side can be anything.

The pain in your side could be anything as simple as gas pains, ovulation pain, or muscle pulls to issues as serious as ectopic rupture, appendicitis, diverticulitis, and other conditions requiring medical intervention. If it continues or worsens, please contact your doctor.
