Does the website "Satellite Direct" really work to watch TV online?

I tried it and it lists a lot of stations but when I click on it to try to watch, it always give some message like not in service or somesuch. Perhaps it would be better in a different area? Or with a faster internet connection, although mine is pretty good these days.

Everything I read about it says it’s really not worth it and you don’t really get what they advertise.

It’s just a directory of internet video feeds you already can see for free. Mostly low-bandwidth and whatever language you speak, most of the world’s free internet video is in some other language.

I’m not sure of the website you speak of, but I recently got rid of my cable, upgraded by internet to 10mb/s and use Hulu, Netflix, and my favorite, Boxee with the Navi-X repository. Between these four programs, I can watch everything I used to watch and more for less than $50 a month.

Unfortunately I am at the upper limit of the internet speed available to me by my DSL provider (512 ks) which means I can’t even watch YouTube without interruption…...this in turn limits what I can do with any of the programs mentioned here. The buffering and respooling drives me nuts. I live way up in the mountains and don’t really have much of a choice (other than satellite) that I can see. Any ideas welcome.
