How do you decide whether to trust a politician before you vote?

Politicians are sneaky. First of all, they are way to good at lying/avoiding the truth.
I try to look at their track records and see for myself if they have actually done what they claim to do. I also try to take what others say about them lightly, everyone has opinions and theirs are never 100% the same as yours.

Trust is a very personal thing and something you have to feel. Having said that, how or if you can decide to trust a high-profile politician is a good question and I’m not sure…
..Perhaps it’s a matter of choosing the one you least distrust.

allie that’s a good one. Also I personally think all candidates are complete idiots. I don’t know what this country is going to become in a few years…

Sometimes I too think that a person would have to be a little or a lot insane to
want to do that kind of work. Meanwhile… we gotta have them, that’s the way our
government avoids monarchy and warlordism. So….. how to decide seems like an
important question. I’m interested in what you guys think because I think you guys
are smart.
