Is roasted garlic good for you?

Asked by kddo14 (8points) April 24th, 2008

I know that raw garlic is supposed to be a pretty healthy food choice. I recently started roasting garlic all the time and this is more out of curiosity than caution. I know that cooking an onion (especially caramelizing it) changes the chemical structure and makes it pretty unhealthy…

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. As long as its not burned or else it becomes bitter

Of course it is good. I don’t know bad things about it. Roasted garlic is better than the raw one because it doesn’t hurt your stomach and tastier, in my opinion.

Also, I heard that cooking onion doesn’t hurt its nutritional value that much and effective for high blood pressure, diabetes, and weight loss.
