How do you log into campfire?

Mentioned it earlier today.

That’s unrelated Robmandu.

On topic, I think something is going on at campfirenow, either that or some technical difficulties with iPhones/iTouches.

Or just plain complication.

@zack, On the Fluther site, someone asks about how to logon to Campfire… with no further description.

The quip I linked to in reply provides the links that allow one to gain access to both of Fluther’s campfire chatrooms.

How exactly, pray tell, is that unrelated?

Oh, and fyi… both rooms are accessible right now (although it should be noted that chatroom moderators can lock the rooms at anytime, as they’re occassionally wont to do.)

so if I’m not a moderator I cant log in?

If you logon to the Watering Hole, there are a couple of chatroom moderators in there right now… and I bet they can answer definitively.

But to simply enter the chatroom, there’s no need to “log in”. Just provide any name you want when prompted, and go on in.

I’m to “young” for the conversation.

Lets clear some things up. Sometimes the conversation turns “adult” and anyone that is under 18 will get the boot for a few minutes and the conversation turns private. You are welcome to come back once it becomes public again. I don’t agree with this. If you are old enough to be on the main site you should be OK with being in the chat. I will bring this up with the other mods.

Second.. Please join with your username here. It avoids confusion. You might get kicked from the room if you don’t.

It won’t let me log in with my username, I just log in as zack_14

And I would like to add that the mods in the chatroom didn’t get any guidelines. We are making it up as we go along. And we don’t really know what we are doing. At least I don’t.

We can’t ban a nick. I don’t know what problem you are having.

We are making it up as we go until we get guidelines. So when the convo turns adult… we’re being overly cautious.

Why are you guys so desperate to get into the chatroom anyways ?

@mirza: I’m forced to login as my Fluther account or I will be kicked out for being 14 years old.

@zach: why do you want to chat with people who dont seem to want to chat with you? Why not just go on facebook or aim instead ?

When I’m waiting for answers I practicly do anything, such as the Watering Hole.

@zach- there are tons of blogs and other cool sites out there that you can browse through while waiting
