Does anyone have a little brother/sister or anyone that is related to you that you find really annoying?

Asked by megzybrahh123 (523points) July 19th, 2011

Well I have a really, really annoying little brother and he drives me mad. If I am sitting all nice and quiet drawing he will come over, start punching me, poking, yelling in my ear. Everywhere I go there is no privacy. It is so annoying, so I was just wondering if anyone else goes through the annoying pain as well as me.

Yes. I almost killed one of my youngest nephews once. If my mother hadn’t gotten to him before I had, he would’ve gotten punched in the face.

One summer, when I was around 17 and my nephew was 6–7, my house was being repainted. My Mom was babysitting my nephew. I was walking around looking at the painting when my nephew grabbed a stir stick and smacked me with it. While this wouldn’t normally be bad, at that time, I was wearing my Colorado Avalanche jersey I had been given that Christmas. This was a very dear piece of apparel for me.

I proceeded to chase him around the side of the house and luckily for him, he made it to my mother before I could get to him.

However, they do grow out of it. So pain is temporary.

I have a quite annoying little brother myself. I usually blame the large age difference (8 years) but I am now beginning to think we might just annoy one another equally because he feels that I’m the most annoying older sister ever as well. It could just be a sibling and or family thing because those closest to us tend to know how to push our buttons the best.

I think that you are most certainly right @JessicaRTBH. I think I do play my part in this whole annoyance thing and me and my little brother have 7 years in between us and even though I am older and should know better I still have to react to him by yelling.

@megzybrahh123 – it is so hard! I often find myself yelling too (he’s the calm one unlike me) Sometimes that has an amazing ability to make me feel better – even though I know it’s wrong.

Yes @JessicaRTBH thats right but the one thing that I absolutly hate is when your the one that gets in trouble for yelling not your younger brother when he started it all first (sounds so childish).

My fracking little cousin, Kayla. I just want to kick her in her little mouth. She’s like 12, and she thinks she can try to hang out with me every single day.
She’ll text me over and over if I don’t text back. Then she’ll facebook me over and over, when I ignore her IM’s. It drives me crazy!!!
And every time I tell her no about hanging out she’ll insist that I can cancel my plans, just for her. .

@AshLeigh… I know how you feel, I use to have a cousin who is a year younger than me and she use to do the same thing as your cousin is doing now but as soon as my mum and my dads brothers wife had a fight .. we no longer talk to them or even see them, which is sort of good but sort of bad.

@megzybrahh123,
That’s kinda sad.
She’s so annoying though. >:(

I was the annoying little sister. I’m 7 years younger than she is, so in the years when I thought she was the coolest person in the world, she was of the mind that she was way too cool to hang out with her family. It sucks from the other end too.

I hate to sound like a broken record…my MIL and if you met her you would feel the same. More over the top than Mike Meyers rendition of his mom on SNL. Sweet as can be but HS she drives me crazy!

My teenage sister is way more than annoying. She took my pics while I was asleep with her cellphone and show her friends and FB friends that I’m her sis. Unlike her other siblings, I’m a privacy person and very picky about socialization that’s why I am a hard-to-reach person both in real life and in social site. She said that her friends are curious about me and how I look like. I know physical abuse is wrong but I will slap her whenever she tries to take my pics without my concern.

My little brother is 50 and he’s still an annoying ass.

My son can annoy his four year-older sister quite a bit on occasion. But generally they get along surprisingly well. It all seems to depend on her mood. If she’s trying to do something, she gets annoyed, but if she’s bored, she’ll chase him all over the place. They invent a different chase game each time.

I have a lot of relatives I find really annoying. But when I’m about to crank it up .. well I just reverse the situation annoy the crap out of most of them.

My sister and I get along well when we are between 500 and 2500 miles apart. Otherwise, not so well.
