If you could own any weapon from a game/movie, which would you choose & why?

Asked by ucme (50047points) November 8th, 2011

I’m going to go right ahead & assume that only those with a genuine, if hypothetical interest in the subject matter, should apply answer.
Okay, with that said, away you go. Choose carefully & remember, buyer beware.

I like the look of an Imperial Walker from Star Wars. I would not use it as a weapon, I would just like to ride around in it. Have it as my Sunday go for a drive vehicle.

I would like to walk around unencumbered with a massive sniper rifle and shoot it from the standing position like the characters can do so easily lol.

And of course, Sephiroth’s Masamune.

The hidden blade from Assassin’s Creed. Oh how sweet revenge would be! ;D

Light saber, a holographic warrior, a key-tool from Reboot, and the Tri-Force of Power, Wisdom, and Courage. Really anything that can be doubled as a tool.

I’m not much of a weapon gal but if it was for self defense, I would want that gun thing from No Country For Old Men, where he just shoots it and it goes “ph” and the person is dead.

wilma's avatar

Oh and I’d also like one of those Magic Mirrors that the queen has in Snow White.

YoBob's avatar

I gotta go with the Death Star.

I would, of course, fix that little problem with the exhaust vent..

ucme's avatar

Hey, what an exclusive little gathering we got goin on here, cheers folks, good stuff!
Oh & @deni I reckon that’s a projectile propelled from a tank of compressed air, but your description sounds way better.

The Infinity Gauntlet.

If I’m going to choose any weapon, I might as well go for the one that grants infinite power and mastery over all aspects of creation.

ucme's avatar

A wise choice @iamthemob
Welcome back by the way, long time no see, speak…..read :¬)

Blackberry's avatar

@ucme Is that what it was? What was the gas shooting out? A rock or something?

XOIIO's avatar

I would say the super gravity gun, if it didn’t need to be recharged, otherwise the Portal gun.

ucme's avatar

@Blackberry I’m not sure, it looks to me like it’s a variation on what they use on cattle, you know, in slaughter houses.
Maybe it’s a bolt of some kind, bloody good kick on it though whatever it is.

ucme's avatar

My own choice from a movie would have to be this baby!
A weapon from a game, Blades of Chaos as worn by Kratos from God of War.

Cruiser's avatar

The BFG9000 of course.

Only138's avatar

@Cruiser My thoughts exactly. The BFG9000 FTW !!

zensky's avatar

Hmmm. Just one? Probs the Iron Man suit – or maybe spidey web-shooters, or Batman’s Utility belt (can it include the capability to summon his vehicles?) damn – this is hard.

I’m gonna go with phasers. Hahahahahaha.Phasers on stun. Zap.

Cruiser's avatar

@Only138 One shot one kill…..or make that thousands!

talljasperman's avatar

@zensky Why not the whole starship Enterprise? it’s one object.

zensky's avatar

Damn, didn’t think of it. Make it so.

A pulse rifle from Aliens.
There is a guy who made a functional replica. When I’m on a real computer as opposed to my phone, I’ll link to the video.

Han Solo’s DL44 Blaster is a close second, since I own the real life pistol it was based on.

HungryGuy's avatar

As others have said, if an entire ship could be considered a single weapon, then I think I’d choose either the Death Star or the Starship Enterprise (the one from Next Gen TV series, that’s the nicest one IMO). But if you mean that a weapon has to be an object that can be carried by a person, then I’d go with a Portal Gun.

Berserker's avatar

Xena’s chakram.

Even if I can’t learn to use it and end up severing my hand off, it would still be wickedsoup.

wilma's avatar

@woodcutter Optimus Prime is my boyfriend. ;)

zensky's avatar

Wilma is my girlfriend.

Prosb's avatar

That’s a hard decision. The pistol from Shadowgrounds seems handy. It fires bullets that seem to slow anything you shoot, in addition to poisoning them. It can also deploy a small force field in front of the shooter when not firing. There’s plenty more to choose from, maybe I’ll make a list.

woodcutter's avatar

@wilma Cool, so it’d be no problem if we hung out sometimes doing guy stuff?

Joker94's avatar

Owning a lightsaber would be the first choice, but having a Portal gun to dick around with would be stellar. Although, the option of having the Millennium Falcon does sound enticing…after all, it did make the Kessel run in 12 parsecs..

lillycoyote's avatar

I really want the power loader from Aliens. Technically it isn’t a weapon, Ripley just used it as one. I still want it.

More thanks to those who answered after my last post of gratitude.
Yeah, weapon in the spirit I intended, meant anything that can be construed as destructful really.
It could be argued that the Predator was in fact a weapon, same can be said of the Terminator.
Bruce Lee’s “fists of fury” could also qualify, Ivan Drago, Clubber Lang from the Rocky movies.
Anyway, a good effort made by all.

wilma's avatar

@zensky ;)
@woodcutter sounds great! You can drive, I’ll ride. Optimus is so much better as a hood, he looked kind of clumsy as a cab-over.

TexasDude's avatar

I found the video of the real functioning version of a pulse rifle from Aliens. It’s awweeeessommmmeeee.

@zensky Han’s blaster was built from an actual Mauser C96 “broomhandle” pistol. I own one. It’s my favorite gun. Here is a picture of mine. Here is the DL44 blaster prop that Harrison Ford used. It was built from a real C96. Note the similarities.

ucme's avatar

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Niiiiiice!!
I’ve always liked the sound of the good old mp40, the fave weapon of your average nazi in many a war flick.

keobooks's avatar

I’d like those PacMan dots that would make all of my enemies edible and run away from me.

iamthemob's avatar

@all – alright…I know that big guns and light sabers and death stars are cool and all…but I’m going to remind you all that with the Infinity Gauntlet, all of you are my b*tches.

(so…sassy)

XOIIO's avatar

Oh shit, Actually, the 10th Doctors Sonic Screwdriver. That’s what I want.

iamthemob's avatar

@XOIIO – over the TARDIS?

XOIIO's avatar

@iamthemob The T.A.R.D.I.S Is a living thing, not a tool. HEll yeh I’d take the T.A.R.D.I.S but It’s not an option.

talljasperman's avatar

@XOIIO Is the T.A.R.D.I.S. Time and Relative Dimensions in Space?
