The Artist is a big contender in the forthcoming Academy Awards show. Which movie, in hindsight, would have been better, were it done The Artist style?

Or: which movie/which actor would have been more bearable had it/he/she been silent for one and a half hour?

Most Nicolas Cage movies.

Truth or Dare (I was gonna say W.E. but I figure no one has heard of that)

I’d say Titanic. It would be more compelling minus the cheesy dialogue and the actors imo are talented enough to do silent acting.

And of course the Star Wars prequels. Better if its totally black, no whites. I would hate these movies all the way to the grave.

The fart scene in Blazing Saddles, for as we all know, the silent but violent fart packs a lot more punch.

O Brother Where Art Thou? I can see George Clooney as a silent star.

I can’t wait till they release “The Artist” in 3D!

@Rheto_Ric, you may be right, but the writing was so fine and the delivery of the lines so perfect, I can’t imagine dialog cards working.
