Nicotine is a stimulant and effects nerve endings, also, are you drinking coffee or other drinks with caffeine with your cigarettes?
Caffeine is a diuretic. I do know there is a correlation between smoking and bladder cancer, for whatever reasons.

@Coloma – I am constantly drinking fluids because of the meds I take. I didn’t know about the bladder-cancer, though.
@serenityNOW – yeah, I smoke to relieve anxiety, but mostly just to feed the nicotine monster.

No. I have smoked from time to time and there is not difference for me.

Nicotine is a stimulant and an irritant, and one of the things it irritates is the bladder. People who suffer with incontinence are advised to quit, if they smoke, for this reason.

Your urge to pee is most likely due to your liquid intake or it could be that you have a weak bladder. Do you drink after a cigarette? To take the taste away? If you smoke a lot, you might feel the need to drink a lot.
